We are Lighterials
Composites are in our DNA. We develop micro sandwich core materials, specifically tailored to the thermoplastic composites industry. With a combined 40 years of experience in the thermoset composite industry we apply all our thermoset micro sandwich knowledge into the thermoplastics industry.
Lighterials is the first to introduce micro sandwich technology in the thermoplastic composites industry. Allowing customers to make their composite parts even lighter, with the aim to create smarter composite designs that lead to a better environmental footprint.

Applications
Light weighting shell parts
Lighterials core materials can be applied in a wide variety of end products, yielding various advantages and improvements. The main application is light weighting shell and panel laminates, whereby saving on relatively heavy layers in the core of the laminate are replaced by a Lighterial, in some cases leading to around 25-30% weight reduction.
